The first sections of the Constitution Pipeline began arriving in New York last week. The pipe is being stored at a rail yard located in Albany County. So far, about 3 miles of pipe has arrived (2.5% of the total), or 422 40-foot sections, each section weighing 6660 pounds. In total, the pipe yard will store more than 17,000 sections of steel pipe. The pipe is being manufactured at pipe mills in Pennsylvania and Florida. All 125 miles should arrive by this summer.
