At Williams, we have a long-standing tradition of supporting the United Way in many of the communities where we operate.
Our Pittsburgh office is no exception, and recently it was recognized by the United Way of Allegheny County for its 2013 campaign.
Thanks to the efforts of our employees who organized a fun campaign, and to those who generously donated to the United Way, we generated a 525 percent increase over the 2012 campaign. Here are some stats from the 2013 campaign:
- We raised $57,000 in employee contributions;
- $11,150 from special campaign events;
- Williams matched 100 percent of the $57,000 through its corporate match program
Some of the activities that took place during the 2013 campaign included a bake sale, games, a tailgate cook-off, sports tournaments and a corn hole competition. More than 30 of our employees also participated in Day of Caring activities as well as the Young Professionals Day of Caring.
Thanks so much to the United Way of Allegheny County for the recognition. We are honored to continue Williams’ tradition of supporting the United Way. And, we’re already looking forward to this year’s campaign.
