Williams received a nice compliment from the Boro of Austin news blog for our ongoing support of the Austin Area School District in Pennsylvania.
Over the years we’ve provided much needed funding to the school district through our adopt-a-school program. The Austin Area School District is Pennsylvania’s least populous school district, averaging just one student per square mile (225 total students).
Williams’ funding has allowed the Austin School to develop what they have dubbed the “classroom of tomorrow,” where computers have replaced blackboards and each room features an interactive whiteboard so the teacher’s PC can be projected onto a screen visible by the whole class.
All of the classrooms now have satellite high-speed internet access, and some even have laptops for each student.
