Cristin here, and I’m a Williams intern working in Horseheads, New York. Today I’ll be bringing you all along on an adventure through a couple of our Bradford Supply Hub field sites. This photo features our Wilmot site where we’re currently undergoing expansion to accommodate an increase in gas production from 360 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 409 MMscfd. Fun fact: 409 MMscfd would be able to heat nearly two million homes for a day.
Pictured here is one of our pigs, which is a device we use in a process called pigging. The pig is a high-tech pipeline inspection tool that helps us maintain our pipelines.
This is a glycol dehydration tower, which removes water from our wet gas feed. Glycol is a chemical we use that bonds to the water molecules within our wet gas, and once bonded, drops into one of our collection bins within the tower. Glycol is then sent to a reboiler to remove the water it collected.
Taking a little break before lunch! Afterward, we’ll be going to check out one of our glycol dehydrators at our Stone House compressor station.
