From working as a measurement analyst in our Tulsa headquarters to taking a role as coordinator of maintenance (COM) in rural Colorado, Jessica Peter has tackled challenges both analytical and operational during her two years at Williams.
The Tulsa native joined Williams after earning a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Tulsa. She analyzed systems data for our West assets before moving West to the Willow Creek cryogenic gas processing plant in Rio Blanco County, Colorado.
She said understanding both the technical and business sides of Williams has helped her become well-rounded as an employee.
“The field has given me practical insights and a solid foundation in the operational aspects of our business, while my corporate role gave me a bigger picture view of the business and honed my analytical skills and strategic thinking.”
As COM, Peter, ensures the safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of plant operations through preventative maintenance.
“The COM role encompasses a variety of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our equipment and facilities,” she said. “I act in a project manager capacity to coordinate all vital resources, including parts, tools, employees and contractors for tasks within their area of responsibility.”
Peter said she’s proud to work for a company committed to providing clean energy for her generation and many more.
“The future of energy is incredibly dynamic and full of opportunities, especially as we transition towards more sustainable and innovative solutions,” she said.
“It’s an exciting time to be in the energy industry, and Williams offers a platform to contribute to meaningful change and be part of a team shaping the future of energy.”
