Over the years, Williams has cultivated strong relationships within our operating areas and our headquarters city, Tulsa. This year, Williams is celebrating the 50-year anniversary of partnership with the University of Tulsa (TU).
Amy Gerald, the director of development in the Collins College of Business at TU, said Williams “supports almost every discipline across campus and all five colleges within the university.” Whether it be through endowed positions, scholarships or board involvement—Williams has demonstrated support for STEM education, as well as all other major disciplines.
Lane Wilson, our senior vice president and general counsel, supports the Friends of Finance program at TU and has been involved since 1997. John Chandler, our chief financial officer, is on the board of the business school at TU.
The relationship between TU and Williams has grown stronger since its beginning in 1969. Over time, Williams has invested more than $7 million with TU, with more than $1 million of that coming from our employee-driven Matching Gifts program.
Williams regularly supports TU’s annual fund, in which contributions have impacted the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, College of Business and more.
“All of it helps provide an education that draws students here,” said Natalie Adams, the director of development in the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences.
Williams is honored to celebrate 50 years of partnership with the University of Tulsa, a school that provides a world-class education and a pipeline of talented individuals for our workforce.
