Williams has placed into service the facilities constructed as part of Phase 2 of the Garden State Expansion Project, an expansion of the Transco pipeline system designed to deliver 180,000 dekatherms a day of additional natural gas capacity to New Jersey Natural Gas. Phase 1 of the project was placed into service in September 2017.
The project consisted of the installation of a new compressor station, meter and regulating station in Burlington County, N.J., in addition to modifications and the addition of compression at an existing Transco compressor station in New Jersey.
New Jersey Natural Gas provides service to more than half a million customers in New Jersey’s Monmouth, Ocean, Morris, Middlesex, Sussex and Burlington counties.
Transco, the nation’s largest-volume and fastest-growing interstate natural gas pipeline system, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Williams Partners L.P.
