Recently, flash flooding impacted hundreds of people in Connellsville, Pa., which is home to approximately 65 Williams employees and operations assets. Thankfully, none of our employees or assets were directly affected. While Williams and our people were fortunate, others in the Connellsville community were hit hard, with at least 70 homes damaged and several families displaced, many of them neighbors or relatives of employees.
To help them get back on their feet, our Connellsville employees immediately sprung to action, working with local leaders to assess the community impact and pitching in to help flood victims where most needed.
First responders working around the clock to rescue people from cars and roofs got a shot in the arm from Williams employees, who helped with everything from shoveling mud from homes to filling dumpsters and conducting supply drives.
Not only have we received an outpouring of gratitude from the community, local leaders and first responders for our efforts to help, but our local employees have told us how appreciative they are to work for a company that gives them the liberty to shift priorities so swiftly and support the community where they live and work.
